Rule change

I was at a football match and I was asked to find the Missing Player. I was given his name but instantly forgot it. I then had to ask an endless stream of men if they were due to play football. Eventually I found one who thought it might be him. I gave him an apple which he then sliced and fried up. This it seemed was the New Way to play football.

Trouble brewing

I touched a bit of wallpaper in my house and the whole wall moved. It was like the wallpaper alone kept everything together. I no longer felt reassured by looking around at the seemingly solid wall. It was all a facade.
Obvious dream I suppose, beginning to worry myself.

The tunnel, a sex change and a helicopter.

Three dreams last night. In the first I was following an old railway track to get home, it went into a tunnel. Luckily a train came through just before I entered, an old steam train. I then assumed it was safe to carry on through. As luck would have it, when I was half way through, I met a gang of thugs from the Other Side, presumably following the same logic. A brief but violent fracas ensued which effectively woke me up.
In the second dream I met the wife of a friend of mine who had been in hospital. She shouted at me for not visiting him and I replied that I was just following his wishes. We then started to fight each other and I noted that during the struggle she turned into a man. This trauma successfully woke me up for a second time.
In the third dream I was walking through a northern coastal town when a helicopter went out of control above me and crashed into a nearby lamp post. A man I was with pulled the pilot out of the burning wreck. Two other helicopters above also seemed about to crash. I moved to the top of an alley leading down to the harbour to get a signal for my mobile to call for help.
I glanced at my mobile keypad and all the keys had fallen off. I tried to remember where 9 should be. At this critical juncture a man appeared from the alley and tried to snatch my mobile. A further violent struggle ensued which woke me for the final time. Yawn.

Women of Power

Last night I went to church but all the seats were taken. I decided to 'bunk off' and went round the side of the church where I ascended Ben Nevis by the path. At the top I sat with my legs dangling over the North Face and spotted the female minister and my mother descending a scary system of ledges. I was mortified that they had apparently already made a difficult ascent and were now going down a route that petrified me. I felt unable to follow. The humiliation was compounded by the fact that they had done a severe route and were heading back in time for the church service.

Mobile features

Last night I was at a funeral, which sported a full pipe band, not sure whose it was, don't think it was mine.
My task, when it was over, was to put all the hose (I think that's the name of the coloured stuff that goes in the socks), into my washing machine. They were all blue.
As I was doing this, which oddly was in the middle of the church service, my mobile gave a loud peep. I thought f***, should have switched it off. I glanced at the screen and a map of the church and its surroundings came on screen. A circle (washer shaped) was approaching the church. The letters CH were alongside the circle. I knew it to be the initials of a person in my mobile address book. An unknown (to me) feature of my mobile was to show the proximity of phones used by my phonebook contacts. Always learning.

The telephone pole

I had climbed up a ladder to the top of a telephone pole in the High Street. I rested my head on the top rung and fell asleep.
My boss came by, shouted and shook his head.
Another colleague arrived and we swopped places.
He shouted down for an empty tobacco tin from his toolbox, which I duly procured, and he proceeded to lower it down the centre of the pole.
All seemed very reasonable at the time but now not so sure.

Washers from the sky

Standing under a grey sky, a feeling of foreboding.
No wonder, a rushing sound and it started to rain steel washers the size of buses.
They all missed, slightly disappointed that none had me in their centre.
What was that about?
